Elyssa M. Schnurr, principal of the Law Offices of Elyssa M. Schnurr, is an experienced attorney, mediator and business owner who has practiced law in Houston and the surrounding areas since she was admitted to the Bar in 1994. Ms. Schnurr is an experienced, skilled, caring and respected professional, who is guided in her practice by her clients’ best interests.

Elyssa M. Schnurr is a Magna Cum Laude graduate from South Texas College of Law where she was chosen to be a member of the Order of the Lytae and Phi Delta Phi, honors organizations. During law school, Ms. Schnurr received her training in Mediation and has been mediating various types of civil cases ever since. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Schnurr was an Owner/Manager and President/Vice President of two Texas-based insurance companies and a Texas-based trust company. In 1982, she earned her undergraduate BBA degree in Finance and Marketing from the University of Texas in Austin.

Ms. Schnurr is also a licensed Realtor with over 20 years of experience in the real estate industry. Additionally, her background and certification in Collaborative Law puts her in a select national group, which strives to resolve family disputes amicably without going to court. The goal of collaborative law is to negotiate through cooperative, rather than adversarial strategies, and to remain focused on honesty, integrity, dignified behavior and mutual respect.

It is Ms. Schnurr’s objective to listen intently, earn the valued trust of her clients and have them recognize her deep commitment to their best interests.
